It was meant to refute the idea that the John son of John Looney & Margaret Kelvie (born ca 1747-50) could be the John who married Margaret Hutchin, which is what Averil continues to insist is true. I think that particular John is too young to be acquiring property in Feb 1770, when he's 22 at best.. I much prefer the older John Looney suggested in the preceding note, which is actually your original idea as well.
