I assume Mr Robert C. was the only son of Robert Christian & Jane Caine of Baldromma, bapt 3 Jan 1743/44.
The Radcliffes write about the marriage settlement made between Robert C. & Jane Caine, following the early death of his father Robert Christian when his son and heir Robert was only 9.
"Because Robert left most of his estate mortgaged (at his death) his widow and the supervisors of his four small children entered on 'tearmes with Wm Caine of Lezayre.... and his wife Margt Gill... The Christians set all their estate to the Caines for 11 years, completing the young heir's 21 years of age.
The Caines will take the heir, send him to scoole, and feed and clothe him as one of their own children... ".

Edward Corkill Parochial Clerk & Schoolmaster of this parish 44 years d 17/5/1820 aged 69

Edward son of James Corkill 20 Mar 1747/48 is the closest, but I've been assuming he was the Edward at Ballasloe as per CR book (whom we now know was recorded as "dumb") - but perhaps his father was not this James. Only two, including the eldest of the Corkill Ballasloe children at that time had both parents recorded at baptism, and some had no bapt recorded at all, so are known only from wills and deeds.

So this bapt could be for the right Edward but with a different father James.
