Re: Robert Amos Leece
In Response To: Re: Robert Amos Leece ()

Sue, Thanks to your information, I was able to find the passenger list for Robert Amos Leece, travelling with his 2 sons, Thomas Evan and Samuel Ridgeway. They did sail on the Merion to Philadelphia with their final destination, brother Evan Leece in North Freedom, Sauk, Wisconsin, who had a farm.
Samuel died 8 days after their arrival in the US. Thomas lived with Evan, married and had a family. Robert I located in 1910 census in Platteville, Grant, Wisconsin living as a boarder and working as miner in zinc mine. Have lost him again. Will have to dig through all the Robert Leece census and see if I can locate him.
Elizabeth Annie Leece, Robert's oldest daughter, did travel on the Alaunia in 1914, with Cissie Kelly. They were going to relative's of Cissie in Montcalm, Michigan. Elizabeth Annie married a Byron Stevens and had 2 children.
Edith I still have not located. It was not her in 1923.
Thank you so much for your help.
Linda
