In the 1841 census, Thomas Clucas states that he is 70, which means that his birthdate is c1771.
The Thomas Clucas that we are pushing as this man, based on his spouse being Margaret Cowley, was born in 1866, 15 years later.
The census data (which I assume would have been filled in by Thomas correctly) is at odds with the data on the Thomas Clucas/Margaret Cowley combo.
We may have this all wrong.
