The pieces are coming together! Yes, I believe this is the same Nicholas Boscow- Elder Boscow. He is my direct ancestor. I have lots of information on him that I can email you, if interested. We have the ship register of the John Cummins with him listed in Apr 1842. The rest of his family is accounted for on various ships. There is an Elder Boscow and family listed on the Tyrian but we're not sure who this is. At first we thought it was ours but they have since been found on other ship registers. We know our Nicholas joined with the Latter day Saints in Illinois from a letter he, Elder Nicholas Boscow, wrote and other reference in the History of the Church. But he died soon after around 1845. I am curious what the deeds after he immigrated could be. Could they be associated with his death? He did have a son Nicholas, but there is a burial for him in Isle of Man in July 1841.
