I was intrigued by the idea of there being a tenement building at the Braaid and looked at the 1911 census image. I see that Richard Hamilton, farm labourer, has indeed written that word next to '4 Rooms'. The postal address is Ballacallin, Braaid, Marown, IOM. I'm guessing that I have a different idea of what a tenement is compared to what Richard Hamilton meant - what is known of Ballacallin?
