I always go in the quiet lounge on the Ben. Usually enjoy 3 hours of reading in peace and quiet. Haven't been over for 2 years...last time was for Mum's funeral. But my uncle is fast approaching 80, and my 'adopted' Aunt 97.....so time for a visit.
Also with reference, and many thanks to your work, and others, e.g. Lawson's site, I now have a lot of further research to do. Can't possibly do it in a few days, so will be back in the New Year.
We are staying at Cammall...where my great grandmother Callin's father, John, was a Labourer in 1881 Census.
