the Lhen is further up the coast from the Cronk - my usual route is to take the coast road from the cronk thru Jurby west skirting the airfield (now home to the Gaol (Jurby Hilton to many)about 3km north of the Gaol the road turns sharp to the right with a side track to a parking point near the beach - the Lhen trench discharges around here, the Lhen is just a little further along the road after the bend but keep towards the coast as there is another junction with the main road heading inwards to Andreas - further access points on the coast along this road are to Blue and Rue points but you are starting to get into the Ayres - a protected region where dogs need to be on a lead (+ other restrictions at certain times)
