As far as his marriages go: I believe his first wife's last name was actually Griffith as that is what our family tree has and if you look at the document you can see it could be this and not Crippen. I am trying to find any more information on their marriage.
For his second marriage on our family tree her maiden name is Mary Ann Avis not Huntley. She did marry John Brown firstly, then Robert so I discounted this marriage record for Robert Lord. Any thoughts where Huntley could have come from? Another marriage maybe? Interestingly Mary's daughter Rosa Brown and Robert's son Charles married and had 5 children one of which is my great-grandmother. Thank you for the immigration info.
