I don't believe Thomas and Ellen had any children, or at least none that survived--none in census, none on passenger list, and none buried with them in Monroe Cemetery, Cleveland.

Your speculation about Eliza/Elizabeth is a good one--I couldn't find a death for her--wonder if she married. Actually, I haven't looked for her in later censuses.
