Hello Sue

Yes, I agree with you about putting other people's names online. But since this search for Jessie is now on this site, I'll put forward a suggestion for an illegitimate Jessie who was born in the right geographical area (Ballasalla given as birth place in 1911) so that this Jessie can be eliminated if someone recognises her as being not the right one.

As far as I can see, this is the only illegitimate Jessie in a christian name only search in the IGI for the right time frame (age 18 in 1901 and age 28 in 1911):

******

Name: Jessie Ann Mylchriest
Event: Christening
Event Date: 25 Mar 1883
Event Place: Malew, Isle of Man
Gender: Female
Death Age:
Marital Status:
Father:
Mother: Jane Mylchriest
Spouse:
Spouse's Marital Status:
Spouse's Father:
Spouse's Mother:
Digital Folder Number: 004496997
Image Number: 00185

*****
And then from Brian Lawson's birth index:

MYLCHREEST, Jessie Ann 8 Mar 1883 Malew 56 Not given MYLCHREEST, Jane

*****
There's a Jane Mylchreest, 17 yr old domestic servant at Balladoole, Arbory in 1881, 27 yr old unmarried servant b Malew in Onchan in 1891---I think she's the daughter of Thomas and Esther Mylchreest who in 1881 are living at Billown Cottage, Malew, near Ballasalla.

I'll send an email to the address in the magazine.
