think I have worked out where the radcliffe name comes from - Philip Quilliam + Elinor Radcliffe m Patrick 17321105 - I think one of their ch was Philip who had a child with Isable Quilliam (not sure if married) in 1748 - this philip's will is I think 1810:
[very faint on film]wife margt als taggart;dau margt;6 gch margt,mary,james, cath + Ann;petn by silvester quilliam f/o children to be appointed guardian of them (so can access legacy) - court grants him guardian over ua ch;1816: gch margt + mary ack from gmo Margt;1825: ann quilliam (peel) acks from Margt keig als quilliam exex of Margt Quilliam (late kk Patrick)
Note the connections with Ann Quilliam - my suspected mother of John Cain
