Re: CORLETTE TREE
In Response To: Re: CORLETTE TREE ()

please there is NO link between Ann Cain als Corlett and Adam Cain - thus you need evaluate each will in its own right - the names margrt, patrick etc are very common and shared by many - Knockan was in Ballaugh and that Adam came from a line there.
You may have then as coming to North America - catch is there are records of their deaths wills decrees and mortgages on the Island - there is no point continuing this until you have addressed the key problem that no ancestor of your Patrick mentioned any manx connection until Frank Trowbridge linked a computed birth year from the death of Patk senr for a baptism of a Patrick s/o Adam - I strongly suggest your Patrick descends from a Scots-Irish immigrant - every fact fits - the name Coyne, the route, the years probably (c.1720-1728) emigration - catch is the Irish records are lost thus I believe Frank jumped at the only available dataset once the IGI became readily available. We even had the DNA argument in which (before you requested that all your postings be removed) that your family had the gene found in the northern Irish Cain line and not the Viking gene found in all Manx cains
