Thank you Sue. I have followed your information and from it, I have learned that Arthur Quayle's brother, Thomas, died in Kirk Maughold on 1st January 1703 (LDS 0106208 A. 47 - Joyce Oates's transcription)
So, it is "back to the drawing board" Thomas is not (as I had hoped) the Great grandfather of the Henry Quayle that died in Glan Rushen in 1741.
It has been an interesting search and I am grateful for the contribution that was made by yourself and by Frances.
It would seem that Henry Quayle's parents and grandparents will be found in Kirk Patrick
