I certainly hadn't seen that one.
So William Quine bought Croit ny Harra after his s-i-l William Shimmin had drowned 1781. That will give me something to chase. At least I now know the starting point of Croit ny Harra and that it was not from the Shimmin side of the family.
Croit ny Harra wasn't mentioned by name in William Quine's Will or the Deed of Settlement SSS O1801-3 but he does state he had eight title propertys known by the name of Croit e Willen bearing chief rent of fourpence [part of Quarterland of Ballaleece] - maybe C n H was part of that? Although looking at the cost of the rents that seems unlikely. Hmmm. Time to pause for five mins.
