Very many thanks for all your hard work. I did find some of the local records some years ago & did conclude I was looking for someone living off island. Yes there is no G R Kirby in CWGC records.

However there was a George Henry service no. 8185 age unknown died 1914 Le Touret. Frances has told me he was Manx , must look him up. Will get back on this when I can. Just back from
