Thank you for this, Denise. Good to hear from you again. I did think it slightly unlikely that Doug Quayle would still be around and starting to post, but naturally didn’t express surprise. He attained a good age. Is Faye still alive? Towards the bottom of my pile of unfinished genealogical business was a letter from him dated 2004 which awaited a reply. Oh dear!

The names mentioned by Brisbane Douglas Quayle did seem to cover familiar ground, with a Quayle-Moore marriage, and similar first names, but evidently that was purely coincidental. If you do find a Quayle connection, I expect the bulletin board would like to hear of it, or if not, I would. I still have the same address and e-mail.
