Re: Ann Curphey (Cannell)
In Response To: Re: Ann Curphey (Cannell) ()

There might be another thread in finding Ann Cannell's (m. to Wm. Curphey) parents. John Cannell died 15 Dec. 1877 intestate. Court in Peel appointed John Curphey of Cammal(?-farm?), Michael, administrator. Robert Oates of Ballalhonna, Michael and William Teare, Ballamennagh, Michael given pledges. Also in distribution, Charles CURPHEY of Port Erin, Rushen, (Wm. Curphey and Ann Cannell's son, my gr. gr. grandfather); Charles CANNEL of the town of Liverpool, John CANNELL, and Andrew Kerr of R..... Hill, Liverpool, and wife Esther (Curphey?) of this parish of Lezayre; James CURPHEY (son of Wm. Curphey & Ann Cannell) & William CURPHEY (James' son), both of Whitehaven, England, "rec'd from John Curphey of Ballakilley, late of Cammel in Michael..." Another signature is Thomas Curphey (I believe Thomas Fred, son of Wm. Curphey & Ann Cannell) Was this John CANNELL Ann's brother? Don't know how old he was when he died! If we knew his birth, could trace parents. This could be the link. Legal document 1878/No.40.
