I have done some further digging: Inconveniently there were two William Creers who died on 6th November 1846 - and I looked at the wrong one. It does look as if the William Creer who died 6th November 1846 in Braddan, aged 21, was the son of William Creer and Jane Redfern, and was christened 12th June 1826 at Douglas St Georges. It does seem probable from the circumstantial evidence that this was the William Creer who married Anne Kennah - but no firm proof.
