COWLEY family - Kirk Michael

For those interested and have helped me in the past the will of widow Catherine Cowley who died Kirk Michael 1873 can be found at www.flickr.com/photos/ballaugh/sets/72157626400656163/. Catherine is the widow of a John Cowley, and the will of John Cowley can be found at www.flickr.com/photos/ballaugh/sets/72157626400415065/.

In the IOMFHS Monumental Inscriptions Kirk Michael Old and New Yards Row J, No. 13 "In memory of/Catherine/wife of John Cowley/of Ballakinnag in this Parish/who died July 25th 1873/aged 87 years/also John/son of the above/who died March 31st 1844/aged 16 years.

In the 1851 census Catherine is listed as a widowed mother-in-law living with the Quayles, and that is another story altogether!

I am now satisfied that the widow Catherine Cowley is the mother of Ann Kneale, who in turn is the wife of Thomas Moore, but I am now at a loss as to whether I have the correct John Cowley because three young children are mentioned in his will. Being inexperienced in 'will reading' I couldn't spot the name Catherine, so I'm now wondering if John Cowley had been married twice. Help again please?
