Is it possible that the Edward Forbes who married Isabella Looney in London in 1845 was the father of Edward Forbes, naturalist ? The marriage cert of EF and IL (viewable on Ancestry) shows that EF was a widower, gentleman, and that his father was an Edward Forbes, merchant.
