I have suspicion that Wm was son of John Oates + Mary Garrett in 1841 he was '80' yr old joiner Cronkberry Onchan but I think buried age 75 Onchan in 1850 , mary bur in Braddan - Wm gives birth as bra in 1851 though ages in 1861 seem a little out - Mary noted as irish in 41 but Braddan in 51 + 61
