When isle-of-man.com had two BBs people complained about losing their messages because they forgot where they had posted them, so they were amalgamated, with the FHS one kept as Archives. This is different, in that "Search" covers Archives 1 and 2 as well as the current forum, so your suggestion might work if people are prepared to check three boards. However Admin has said that Archives are closed lists, so I don't hold out much hope that they would allow this, but I'll ask.
