I am in search for my family that came from Kirk Ballaugh. My gggrandfather was born there (Thomas Franklin Pattee) in 1857. He left with his mother (Elizabeth/Betsy McCarrey born 1920) and a sister (Marie Patty) for America a few years after his father(Alexander) died (thought it was pneumonia) His faher worked in the mines. This is all new info. for me and I am trying to learn as much as possible for my grandfather who is ill.
