Re: CHRISTIAN of The Flatt Ramsey

Hi again Elaine,

Remember that Frances looked at her copy and said that "the second book has no equivalent family biographies as found in the earlier book - snippets are dotted about but the book is organised on the town development, industries etc with key people mentioned but not that much biographical detail". She was referring to Shining by the Sea, which would still be interesting from a historical and social point of view.
I was looking at Abebooks.com.

CR's first Ramsey book was the one from which I gave you those biographical details (Ramsey 1600-1800), and I didn't find that except from Amazon on used.addall.com - and I would advise you to buy only from a specific bookshop like the ones on abebooks where you know who you are buying from and can first check directly with the seller.
I can try scanning those pages for you if you wish, but it might take me a couple of days before I have time?

Sue
