Re: Mary Hogg
In Response To: Re: Mary Hogg ()

Thomas Kelly aged 5 in the 1841 census (previous message):
IGI: THOMAS KELLY Christening: 03 JAN 1837 Ramsey, Father: THOMAS KELLY, Mother: MARY QUAYLE.

But there is a problem! There is also an extracted bapt for William Kelly on 07 APR 1834 Ramsey with the same parents, when we already have William Kelly bapt in Lezayre on 27 APR 1834, same parents' names. I would have suggested that William was bapt in both places after the family moved from Lezayre to Ramsey, if the dates had been the other way around.

I had a look for Mary Jane HOGG bapt 1 Feb 1846 St Mathews Douglas, to see whether she was with relatives in later censuses.
Lillian, do you know what happened to her?

Brian's burials have: HOGG, Mary Jane 26 Lon 12 Oct 1873, but this Mary Jane was married to Hogg (1871 census).

In the 1861 census there is a Thomas Kelly 63 mariner with wife Mary 50 in Liverpool, both b.IoM. Are these the ones you are researching, and where Lezayre/Ramsey Thomas and Mary ended up?

I also had a look in 1851 for Esther Kelly b.1840, without success, and think this must be her burial:
KELLY, Esther 4 Lez 29 Dec 1843.
