Lesley, i have two cains sorting out, my mam was a cain born manchester all her family on her mams side were manchester. ireland, her father was robert henry cain born 1894 braddan/ douglas and his father was john henry cain born between 1862 and 1865 according to his marridge to edith cowl in 1917 douglas his father was robert cain [ deceased ] a carter, but i cant find him, also john henry and edith did not marry until 1917 i find that odd as grandad robert was born 1894 and his sister lydia was born 1890 but was infact born to edith cowl befor marridge to john henry cain, and in some things she is under lily cain, no wonder i cant find my great great grand dad, i will e mail you
