Re: John Kinnish
In Response To: Re: John Kinnish ()

Thomas Kinnish farmer aged 52 b.Lonan, in the 1861 census, looks like THOMAS KINNISH Christening: 03 APR 1809 Lonan, Father JOHN KINNISH, Mother: CATHERINE KNEAL.

When you see the Lonan par register film hopefully you will be able to track the family back by the name of the farm.

THOS. KINNISH Spouse: LOUISA QUAYLE Marriage: 16 JUN 1853 Braddan. This film should give the name of both fathers and their occupations (Braddan was where Louisa was born according to the 1861 census), and should also show whether Thomas was single or a widower.
On LDS film no.0106188.
The FHCs usually allow you to order several films at a time.

I've just had a look at the 1851 census of Lonan, and at "Baldooin" are John Kenish 77 farmer freeholder of 74 acres employing 1 man, b.Lonan, his wife Catherine 70 b.Andreas, son Thomas Kenish 40 unm., employed on farm, b.Lonan, daur Ann Kenish 30 unm., at home, b.Lonan, and 2 servants.
