Sue asked me to take a look at this family in the us census. JUSt waned to mention a couple of things. The 1860 census column 11 asks if marr with in the year and it is checked off for Thomas and Louisa. So that would indicate that they marr in Chicago about 1859 not in Mann. Also they had 5 children. I followed the children up to the 1930 census and found the 5th child living with her sister Ella in 1900.
Alfred Thomas b July 1862, marr Emelia Goedecke 8 Apr 1886, DIed 15 Apr 1927 Chicago Ill.
Ella b Dec 1864, marr Charles E Shaw 18 OCt 1888 not found after 1900 census.
Catherine MArr 29 Sept 1889 John A Spring.
Hattie not found after 1880 census.
MAbel b Oct 1881, marr John Wood Mitchell 16 Oct 1900 in Chicago and moved to California and found in the censuses until 1930. Mabel died 29 Dec 1945 Almeda California.
Alfred, Ella and Mabel had children.
