The name Kitty is often used as a nickname for Catherine,and if my information is correct Great Grandfather Crennell also had a daughter of that name who was born in 1801 that would be one of your Grandfathers sisters.My Grand father was William Crennell who was another brother.My mother was also called Catherine,so it was handed down through the family.This information is not 100%but it could turn out to be interesting,once i have checked it all out.I also have a G-G-G Grandfather if this is all correct and his name is Thomas Crennell,he was born in 1805,he married Margeret Killey born1804 on the 26 of December 1826,and that is as far as I have got up to now,but it all needs double checking to see that I have the correct family,then I will try and go a bit further back.
