Re: One name study CRENNELL
In Response To: Re: One name study CRENNELL ()

I have to confess that I have no known Crennell relationship. My specialism is Joughin, and one Joughin line (not mine), the one originating at Crosby in Bride, made two marriages with the Crennell family. Two members of that family have kindly supplied me with different versions of the family tree compiled by the late Wm. Humphries of Liverpool L14.
I might have a connection, though. My fourth great uncle William Joughin of Cronkbane (then called Knockbane), Bride, married at Andreas in 1816 Catharine Crennell, who was born about 1793 in Andreas, according to the 1851 census. Their posterity is represented today by a single individual, who lives in Bride, and her five offspring. There might be a connection between 1793 Catherine and the present-day Crennell family that has spread out from Liverpool, but that would still only link me by marriage.
