I don't think we're related but here's my family tree back a few generations. My father is Norman Joughin, born Whitehaven (brother Frank & Sister Jean), my grandfather was Frederick James Joughin (brothers Victor, Hubert & sister Annie) all Whitehaven area. My great-grandfather was Thomas Joughin who came over from IOM as an infant. I believe the family was from Jurby Head area.

I came across an article on a university web site dedicated to IOM which gave the meaning of the Joughin surname to be 'Deacon's son' so we must have some religious roots somewhere.

If you have come across my line of the family in a website please point me in the right direction. If not I'll continue my search of the web and good luck with your searching.
