(178) Peel Association Football Club 1888 - ongoing

Description

Founded in October 1888, two years before the Isle of Man Football Association of 1890, to provide a winter pastime for the members of Peel Cricket Club. Inspired by James Kerr, a keen supporter of football with connections with Queens Park Club, Glasgow, and the first president of the Isle of Man F. A., they joined the Association at its beginning in 1890.

Representing the former fishing town of Peel, they are known as the 'Westerners' or the 'Fishermen'.
