The opening of this Court was reported in The Manx Sun of 14th December 1841. :
On Wednesday evening last, a new Court of the Ancient Order of Foresters, was opened at the house of Mr. Proctor, Yorkshire-house Lord Street, in this town, the Court was named, Court "Queen of the Isle', no. 1356.
After the initiation of a number of respectable individuals, the company sat down to an excellent Supper, provided for the occasion by Host Proctor. After the cloth was withdrawn, our respected townsman, Dr. Sale, was called to the chair.
Many patriotic and suitable toast[s] were given, and several excellent songs sung, accompanied by an excellent violin.The party separated at a late hour, highly delighted with the meeting.
