(77) The Loyal North Star Lodge of Oddfellows, Laxey - 1839-

Description

Opened in Laxey in 1839, this Lodge attracted many members from the biggest mining community on the Island, its anniversary processions usually finishing on the lawns of the Mines Captain's house.

The 1914 membership total was 222 , with capital of £5,297.
