HENRY III. CONFIRMS THE KNIGHT'S FEE TO REGINALD. A.D. 1220

THE King to his Justices in Ireland, greeting. Our beloved and faithful R[eginald] King of Man, has shown to us that since King J [ohn] our father had given to him a certain fee of one Knight with appurtenances in Ireland, and yearly two hogsheads of wine and one hundred and twenty crannocks of corn in return for his homage, Therefore we command you to satisfy the said King as well in the aforesaid fee of one Knight as in the two hogsheads of wine and the one hundred and twenty crannocks of corn without farther delay according to the tenor of the letters of the aforesaid King John our father, which ye have received, so that in future, no occasion may arise to trouble us. Witness, Henry, etc., at Westminster, 4th day of Nov., by the same.
