Know all men by these presents that I Sarah
Mercer of Castletown in the Isle of man for & in consideration
of the sum of fifteen pounds of lawfull money of this Isle
to me in kind paid by Rhoda Makon of the same place ^widow^ whereof
I do hereby acknowledge the receipt & myself therewith fully
& [lost in fold]actly satisfied have bargained sold set over delivered
& by these presents do bargain set over & deliver unto the sd
Rhoda Makon all my right & title & interest that I
have unto ^being a fifth part of^ the parcell or parcells of land known by the
name of the Red gap fields formerly part of the estate
of ballalough in the parish of Malew to have & to
hold the said bargained premises unto the sd Rhoda
Makon for her own proper use & behoof & I the saidSarah
Mercer for my self my executors & administrators the said
bargained premises unto the said Rhoda Makon again=
st all & all maner of persons shall & will warrant &
for ever defend by these presents in witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand & seal this twenty sixth
day of May one thousand seven hundred & fourty
three

the Deemster and now openly published
in court and no objection offered agt it, it
therefore allowed of and confirmed according
