I ought to do a page about ages on the 1841 census - treat all with some suspicion is my working hypothesis - some families are highy accurate others are more free with the figures, even for ages of young children - by 1851 I found most elderly I've checked to be indicated with a good approximation to their correct age, in 1841 they could be at least a decade out as based on likely baptism + reported age at death. Ages of Spinsters + wives whose age is somewhat different from their husbands are often 'moderated' even in 1851.

However any figure, eg as reported in burial reg, ending with 0 or 5 has a much higher chance of being an estimate.
