This is a house bursting at the seams with navvy-labourers from all over the place. There are over 20 in this house, almost all in their 30s and 40s, and mysteriously, all single ! There are several more households like this one.

On the face of it, this single 49 year old Thos Clark, b Ireland, isn't yours, but the enumerator clearly wasn't fussy about accuracy. Perhaps your TC couldn't find work in the IOM and went over to Westmoreland temporarily.
