In the name of God Amen I John Quayle of Ballalhie in the parish of Kirk
Michael being in sound mind and memory at making this my last will and
testament.
I commit my soul to God and my body to christian burial.
I leave and bequeath to my son John Quayle all my right title and
property to that parcel of land called the Cool Daree Llie in
consideration for the same he is to pay to my daughter Jane Garrett
whatever is due to her by her mother and Also to pay to his mother the
further sum of twenty pounds British in lieu for the said premises
I also leave and bequeath to my son John Quayle that part or parcel of
Meadow land part of the quarterland of Ballamanagh in consideration for
the same he is to pay to his mother the sum of thirty pounds British.
I leave and bequeath to my son Wm Quayle the sum of ten pounds British
with what ever he hath in his hands and possession before as legacy.
I leave and bequeath to my son Thos Quayle ten pounds British as legacy.
I leave to my daughter Margarett the sum of ten pounds Brit as her
legacy.
I leave to my daughter Elizabeth the sum o fifty pounds Brit as legacy.
LASTLY I nominate constitute ordain and appoint my beloved wife Mary
Quayle sole executrix of all the rest of my goods credits chattles and
effects cutting off and debaring all claimers with one shilling legacy
witness my subscription this the 4th day of October 1836. John QuayleX

!Know all men by these presents that Elizabeth Quayle of Cronk Urleigh in
Michael executrix of the late Mary Quayle late of Ballallire in the parish
of Michael who was excutrix of the late John Quayle of Ballallire
aforesaid doth herby own and acknowledge hereself to have received and
be fully paid of and from Roberty Cretney of the town of Douglas Grocer
and Ann his wife the latter being the daughter of the late John Quayle
and granddaughter of the aforesaid John Quayle of Ballallire the full and
just sum of twenty pounds being a sum of money directed by the will of
the said John Quayle first aforesaid dated 4 day of October 1836 to be
paid by his son John Quayle to the said Mary Quayle and made chargeable
on a certain parcel of land called the Cool darie Also the further the sum
of thirty pounds being a sum of money directed by the will of the said
John Quayle dated as aforesaid to be paid to the said Mary Quayle by the
said John Quayle son of the testator in consideration of his being devised
part of the quarterland of Ballamanagh in the said parish and the said
Elizabeth Quayle executrix of the said Mary Quayle doth therefore desire
that the payment of the said two several sums of money may be and
stand cancelled upon record and she doth hereby release and discharge
the said two several parcels of land from all further claim a demand in
respect thererof. In witness whereof she the said Elizabeth Quayle in
her capcacity aforesaid hath hereunto subscribed her name this
Seventeenth day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and Sixty Six.

!At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael the 15th June 1784
Mary Quayle als Corlett having departed this life on or about the 22nd
March last past intestate. The court having intelligence thereof hath
decreed her only child Jane Quayle administratrix of all the said
intestates goods chattels and effects movable and immovable of what
nature or kind soever. Jane not having attained to lawful years who
being under age John Quayle the father is thereupon sworn well and truly
to administer the said affects in trust for said minor to pay all the
intestates just debts so far forth as the said effects will extend and the
law bind him and to return a true and perfect inventory of the siad
effects to the Registry of this Court. John Corlett and Thomas Corlett
uncles by the mother's side are sworn guardians and supervisors with
John Quayle the father who to the ends above mentioned hath given
pledges in form of law namely the uncles aforesaid. Decretum est -

John Garrett husband of Jane Quayle the daughter of the deceased Mary
Quayle alias Corlett appeared this day and acknowledged to have
received the sum of two pounds on account and in full of his said wifes
share on proportion of the personal estate of her said deceased mother
and hereby exonerates acquits and discharges John Quayle the
administator his executors adminstrators and of every part thereof
