Thanks for your reply to my quest, I however did find a William Mehew who married a Sarah Brown on th IGI. the William Mehew whom I need to find was married to Elizabeth ? whether this was a second marriage I do not at this stage know, My William definatly lived on the Isle of Man between 1841 with wife Elizabeth and daughter Mary and Sarah until his death in about 1870 his last known address on the Isle of Man was 1 Ackroyd Place. Occupation given as draper.do you know anything that would throw any light on this family
