yes sue I do know about the names moughtin etc. and martell is used in ire.
if Charles was a pirate and was taken by brit navy would he be hanged at sea or brougth to the nearest port an put on trial ?.
I have a whole story from my relies about the family in ire should I put the lot on the board in the hope some can shed some light.
it is posible that henry maurice was born on the 30 may 1838 or 1848 both dates could apply.the 1848 comes from his death in 16/11/1935 just three days before I was born.
the other date is from his age when he married Ellen Doubtfire in Clare south Aust.
however my mother always claimed he was 97 and not 87 , this would give his birth as 31/5 1838.
this dtae has great meaning in the family, but that is another side .
