My gggg grandparents were John Clague 1759-1834 and Catherine Kermod 1760-1833 of Ballacregga, Santon.

In her 1833 will, Catherine names her main beneficiary as her son, William. Her other sons are listed thus: John, Robert, Thomas and Henry.

The IGI has:

John 1782
Margaret 1785 (patron submission)
Thomas 1789
Thomas 1790
Eleanor 1793
Henry 1795
Elizabeth 1798
Ann 1801
William 1805

Although there is no mention of a Robert in the IGI, he would have been born either in the gap between John and Margaret, or between Margaret and Thomas.

I wonder whether this could be his burial from Brian's index:

CLAGUE, Robert 61 Arb 6 Sep 1849

This would give a birth year of 1787 or 1788.

Please would a kind person look in the Arbory register for this burial ?

I wonder whether this Robert may have been the one who married Isabella Cregeen on 17 Sept 1814 in Rushen.
