I hadn't looked at Brian's census indexes until a few weeks ago. Now, if I'm looking for someone on an IOM census on Ancestry and can't immediately find a suitable entry, I go straight to Brian's list and see "what Brian says".

If his list includes a likely entry which hasn't come up on the Ancestry search, it reassures me that if I look hard enough by putting in the exact age as stated by Brian ( with no +/- required) along with variations on the spelling of the surname and / or diminutives of the christian name like Thos for Thomas, then eventually I'll stumble across the right person.

Your advice will lead me straight there. Thank you.
