Basically, I saw this on a post that LIz wrote (off topic) regards mi's and thought it was very similar to ideas I had for the future to include in the FHS.
Liz, I know you mentioned it and would love to hear of your plans, because your walks and ideas fall nicely with my own and it would be superb if we could link this up somewhere along the line.

Here's some projects that I had lined up;
1/ I planned being driven about (albeit slowly) and taking video footage of the roads, slip roads and points of interest along the way. (read on)

2/ Another area I was considering doing, was getting people to take videos, snap shots of their village, of houses, from different angles of streets, roads, paths, lanes, rivers, countryside etc and build up a picture of the area, so that people who are not able to visit the island, has some idea of what the place looks like.

3/ Now combine the above footage and tie them into peoples stories or remembrances of the various footage etc and hey presto, you have an additional PERSONAL google map of the island, with stories sent in by people around the world to make the place interesting and also interactive.

I realise that this is a huge undertaking and I also realise that I certainly couldn't do this by myself and therefore would be looking for peoples input and energy in taking pictures etc and doing something positive and worthwhile, that we all can share.

Thats a few of my ideas, but I just wondered what people think about this, whether you're from the Isle of Man or further afield, or maybe you could even suggest areas I've missed.
