Hi - thanks Kevin, be great if you could remember me in case you come across any connection. My first known Corkill was a John Corkill (Kalkhill on marriage certificate) who married an Ann Phillips in Penzance in 1802. I can trace forwards from there up to the current day okay - its just before that is so frustratingly blank! Its odds on that this John Corkill (a "mariner") was from the IOM. His sons all kept to sea faring occupations, but some of their offspring turned to more inland and/or office type occupations. Some other family names just in case they mean anything - Delgardo, Collard, Penrose, Windsor, Garrett, Morrell.
