Following the Silverburn river from Castletown to Ballasalla, there is an old water Mill, still referred to as "the factory". It is the first stone building as you walk up river through Poulson Park etc.
Also Thomas Creer and Richard Corrrin both have addresses listed as "Factory Yard" in the 1881 Census in this area; I am not sure if it refers to the same place. Factory Yard is listed near Ballasalla House and Lodge.
