Having checked my souces 1863 to 1913.. I located the following: McQuiggan JAMES age 22 birthplace. Douglas status AB ( able seaman) Vessel "Bride" 1 / 1 1872 First voyage official # 8164 source I.O.M. 173364. He is the only one listed of that name, so it sounds to me this was his first ship and this was James's (of 1874 ) father. My records do not show son James's record even though they go up to 1913, how ever re: the Life-Boat Service, I would suggest writing or emailing the Manx Museum they should be able to help on this or advise you who to contact. I cannot check the Vessel " Creaden" until next week some time, but I will get back to you if there is any record.
Reference the : Moore JOHN there are hundreds of them.....do you want to pursue , if so I need age and place off birth.
