Re: Quilliam's & Cringle & Shimmin

Here is 1871 Census you sent Bruce

I also am wondering if the Louisa in the above census could have also been counted in this Census below with Elizabeth's (now deceased) brother James.

James CRINGLE Head M Male 26 Patrick, Isle of Man, England Gardener
Ann Jane CRINGLE Wife M Female 23 Andreas, Isle of Man, England
James CRINGLE Son Male 2 Lezayre, Isle of Man, England

The story I have from Tom who I am corresponding with is James Quilliam re-married.

I found a James Quilliam married to a Frances or Fanny Karren 07 Jan 1883 Braddan on the IGI.

1891 Census
James Quilliam Head Mar 45 Laborer Marown
Frances Wife Mar 42 Douglas
John J Son S 19 Sailor Douglas (he may have been adopted, this was mentioned in letter I have)
Lawrence Son S 15 Douglas
Thomas Son S 3 Douglas
Elizabeth Dau S 13 Douglas
Robert Son S 4 Douglas

Am wondering about ages for James & Frances, also children Elizabeth & Lawrence birth dates match close with 1881 censusif using blocking method (who knows!)

Thanks for input,

Tim
