I was hoping that someone could tell me what it says about Captain George Cannon in the book entitled MANX SLAVE TRADERS. I have a passage from his journal about one of his voyages from Liverpool to Bonney, Africa June 8, 1798 aboard the ship IRIS, but I have not been able to find anything that says he was the actual Captain of the ship.

I would appreciate any information on this.
